Sedgman, a prominent entity within the CIMIC Group, has successfully acquired FSI Engineering and Design, an engineering consultancy based in Arizona. This acquisition aims to enhance Sedgman's North American presence as part of the ACS Group's global initiative to develop a robust critical minerals platform. The integration of FSI bolsters Sedgman's capabilities in the minerals processing sector, allowing for a comprehensive approach to engineering, procurement, and construction management (EPCM).
With over 45 years of experience in mineral processing, Sedgman has completed more than 630 studies and projects across various critical minerals and precious metals, including lithium, copper, nickel, and rare earths. The expertise of FSI in multidiscipline EPCM operations and capital projects will further augment Sedgman's delivery capacity in the U.S. market, aligning with its long-standing operations of 25 years in the region.
