Saari Partners has acquired a majority stake in Geniem, a Finnish digital service provider, to support its growth strategy in enhancing digital services for the public sector and SMEs.

Geniem Oy, a digital service provider based in Finland, specializes in offering a diverse range of digital services, including WordPress websites, mobile applications, software development, WooCommerce online stores, service design, and accessibility solutions. Founded in 2001, the company has built a solid reputation by successfully executing numerous projects for various clients such as businesses, cities, educational institutions, and other organizations. As of 2021, Geniem reported a revenue of 5 million euros and employed 64 individuals at the time of the transaction.

Post-transaction, Geniem will operate as an independent entity, with Ville Särmälä set to assume the role of CEO in April 2022. The investment from Saari Partners aims to enhance Geniem's existing strategies for growth and expand its offerings to better serve the public sector and small to medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).
