Corewell Health, a not-for-profit health system in Michigan, has partnered with Quest Diagnostics to establish the Diagnostic Lab of Michigan, LLC, a laboratory services joint venture aimed at enhancing the accessibility and affordability of laboratory services in the region. Corewell Health operates over 21 hospitals and numerous outpatient facilities, employing more than 65,000 individuals, including over 12,000 physicians and advanced practice providers, along with 15,500 nurses.

This collaboration not only fosters improved healthcare services but also emphasizes a commitment to innovation and community partnerships within Michigan's healthcare landscape. As a part of this joint initiative, the existing lab services from both Quest Diagnostics and Corewell Health will continue to be utilized until a new, state-of-the-art 100,000-square-foot laboratory facility is set to open in the first quarter of 2027 at the Corewell Health Southfield Center.
