简爱酸奶, a premium low-temperature yogurt brand founded in 2015, has recently secured 800 million RMB in Series B financing. This round of funding was significantly supported by existing investor Black Ant Capital, which had also led the company’s Series A round in May 2020. The entirety of this latest investment will be allocated towards the construction of modern dairy farms.
Since its inception, 简爱 has launched a variety of product lines, including sugar-free yogurt, functional yogurt, a "Father's Love Formula" children’s yogurt, and fruit puree yogurt, with plans to introduce fresh milk products this year. Despite the overall decline of the low-temperature yogurt market by 12.5% in 2020 due to the pandemic, 简爱 experienced remarkable growth, with sales surging over 70%. By December 2020, the company achieved a compound annual growth rate of 109% over the past five years, becoming the leading brand in the low-temperature yogurt segment across various retail channels.
