Pakistan Telecommunication Company Limited (PTCL) has officially completed the acquisition of 100% of the issued share capital of Telenor Pakistan and Orion Towers, effective 31st December 2025. This strategic move marks the beginning of a transformative era in Pakistan's telecom industry, positioning PTCL to enhance digital enablement nationwide.
Telenor Pakistan, now a wholly-owned subsidiary of PTCL, will continue to function as a separate legal entity during the initial transition phase. Post this period, there are plans to integrate Telenor Pakistan with PTML, popularly known as Ufone 4G, and U Microfinance Bank, forming a newly merged entity (MergeCo), pending necessary regulatory approvals.
