This project represents a significant investment of approximately €30 million (about 5.1 billion yen). The facility, which opened on September 10, 2025, aims to utilize CO₂ derived from bioethanol production as a sustainable source for manufacturing food-grade liquefied CO₂ and dry ice.
With this innovation, Nippon Gases seeks to reduce its dependence on fossil fuel-based CO₂ production while promoting sustainability within various sectors such as food, mobility, and agriculture. The facility is designed to enhance efficiency by processing CO₂ from its source to final product under one roof, ultimately contributing to substantial reductions in transportation emissions.
