Chicago-based NielsenIQ (NIQ), a prominent consumer intelligence firm, has announced its acquisition of Mtrix, a leading Software as a Service (SaaS) provider in Brazil. Mtrix specializes in offering comprehensive visibility throughout the indirect distribution supply chain. This acquisition marks NIQ's commitment to enhancing its analytics capabilities through essential tuck-in acquisitions, having previously integrated platforms such as Gastrograph AI and GfK.
Mtrix has developed a robust platform that connects manufacturers, wholesalers, and distributors, enabling real-time analysis of stock levels and transaction activities. Over more than ten years in operation, Mtrix has established partnerships with over 2,000 distributors and wholesalers and processes transactions from over 1.2 million points of sale across Brazil, including a client base of nearly 100 of the largest consumer packaged goods (CPG) manufacturers in the region.
