The company also produces softwood timber and employs approximately 500 people. Since its acquisition by MB Rahastot and co-investors in 2015, Kotkamills has invested €180 million to transform its paper machine located in Kotka into one of the world's most modern carton machines. Launched in 2016, this advanced machine boasts an annual capacity of 400,000 tons, producing both folding boxboard and foodservice board, meeting the growing market demand for sustainable packaging solutions.
