Recently, the company raised €6 million in a seed funding round co-led by LocalGlobe and XAnge, aiming to scale its operations and deploy its first pilot plant in Kenya, which intends to benefit local communities.

The company’s strategy mirrors Tesla's approach of prioritizing rapid product iterations to accelerate cost reductions and enhance scalability. In its inaugural year, Sirona developed three generations of DAC prototypes capable of capturing one ton of CO2 annually, and is currently working on the next phase aimed at capturing 20 tons per year by July this year.
