Lime Rock Partners and SGAM/4D Global Energy have acquired Serimer DASA for €33 million, aiming to enhance its capabilities in the growing pipeline services market.
Information on the Target
Serimer DASA, based in Mitry Mory, France, specializes in providing automatic welding services for both onshore and offshore pipelines. The company operates additional facilities in Villers-Cotterêts and has established a significant presence in North America through its wholly owned affiliate, Serimer DASA North America, located in Houston, Texas. With global sales around €40 million and a workforce of over 200 employees, primarily in France, Serimer has positioned itself as a leader in its sector.
Originally, Serimer was formed in 1998 as a separate entity from the French contractor ETPM, which had developed automatic welding as an in-house service in 1979. Following the acquisition of ETPM by Stolt Offshore in 2000, Serimer has experienced substantial growth in its operations, benefiting from Stolt's extensive industry network. The company continues to be primarily serviced by Stolt, which remains its largest customer.
