Target Information
Leonardo S.p.A. has recently secured a multi-year contract with the Italian National Armaments Directorate. This agreement focuses on providing logistical support for the military's C-27J "Spartan" tactical transport aircraft fleet and associated Full Motion Simulators at the International Training Center (ITC) located at the Pisa Air Force Base. The contract is set to run from 2026 to 2028 under a “Performance Based” model, aimed at maintaining high efficiency levels for the operational fleet of 12 C-27J aircraft stationed at Pisa and Pratica di Mare Air Bases.
Additionally, Leonardo will offer technical and administrative management services for operations at the ITC in Pisa and will ensure technical support and maintenance for the simulator. The C-27J "Spartan" is renowned for being the most effective and versatile tactical transport aircraft in its class, featuring powerful turboprop engines and significant operational flexibility to perform in various environmental conditions, including unpredictable terrains.
