Kendall Sustainable Infrastructure (KSI) has expanded its distributed-generation portfolio with the recent acquisition of a 2.5 MWdc solar project located in Perry County, Illinois, from its development partner, New Leaf Energy (NLE). This solar initiative will leverage Illinois’ community solar program, benefiting both commercial clients and small subscriber community solar off-takers. This acquisition represents a strategic step toward increasing KSI's renewable energy assets within the region.
The project marks the third successful collaboration between KSI and NLE, following their previous partnerships on two other solar projects in New York, which totaled 11 MWdc. This brings their aggregated portfolio to over 13 MWdc of operational and under-construction clean energy assets, showcasing both companies' commitment to sustainability and growth in the renewable sector.
