JSW Energy Limited has successfully completed the acquisition of a 4.7 GW renewable energy platform from O2 Power Pooling Pte. Ltd. The enterprise value of this significant transaction has been set at approximately ₹12,468 Crore. O2 Power was established in 2020 with the backing of global investors EQT and Temasek, currently boasting an installed capacity of 1,343 MW as of the fiscal year 2025. Following this acquisition, JSW Energy’s total installed capacity will rise to an impressive 12,212 MW, with 54% of this capacity—6,554 MW—being generated from renewable sources.

This acquisition aligns with JSW Energy’s strategic initiative to transition towards cleaner energy solutions. The newly integrated platform is expected to generate a steady-state EBITDA of around ₹1,500 Crore from its 2,259 MW capacity, which is projected to commence operations by June 2025. Additionally, JSW aims to enhance the full platform capacity to 4,696 MW by June 2027, potentially yielding an estimated annual EBITDA of ₹3,750 Crore.
