ITE’s Turkish subsidiary, EUF, has successfully acquired a 60% stake in YEM Fuarcilik (YEMF), the organizers of the prominent Turkeybuild events held in Istanbul, Ankara, and Izmir. The remaining 40% of YEMF will continue to be owned by Yapi–Endüstri Merkezi a.s (Yapi), a leading provider of data and information services to the construction and building materials industries in Turkey. This acquisition marks a significant expansion of ITE's presence in the Turkish market, particularly in the area of construction events.
The principal Turkeybuild event, which takes place in Istanbul, has reached its 34th edition as of April/May 2011, spanning over 35,000 square meters and attracting more than 110,000 attendees. Additionally, the Ankara and Izmir Turkeybuild events occur annually in September and October, further establishing the brand's stronghold in the Turkish event landscape.
