IDP has furthered its expansion strategy with the acquisition of a majority stake in Ecointegral, marking the second acquisition since the investment by Nazca Capital. Ecointegral, founded in 1998 and based in Córdoba, specializes in engineering projects related to electric transmission and distribution, renewable energy, and telecommunications. The company operates with a skilled workforce of 220 professionals and has successfully completed over 500 renewable energy projects, including photovoltaic, wind, and hydrogen initiatives, as well as 3,000 projects focused on electricity transport and distribution.
With offices in Córdoba, Málaga, Zaragoza, Las Palmas, and Krakow in Poland, Ecointegral has established a solid reputation in the energy and telecommunications sectors. The founder, Juan Ramon Mateos, will retain a stake in the company and assumes the role of Chairman of the Board. This strategic acquisition aims to enhance Ecointegral's strong growth trajectory, which has averaged 75% annually over the past three years, by boosting its production capacity, commercial strength, and geographical presence.
