Orix Corporation, headquartered in Minato, Tokyo and led by President Hidetaka Takahashi, has announced the sale of all shares in Zeolite Co., Ltd. to Veolia Japan LLC, a subsidiary of the global environmental solutions company Veolia Group. Zeolite, located in Yonezawa, Yamagata, is headed by President Toru Yoshida and is involved in waste collection, transportation, and final disposal, as well as the mining and sale of zeolites.
Since 1998, Zeolite has operated one of the largest managed final disposal sites in Japan, obtaining permits for the treatment of both industrial and general waste. The strategic sale aims to leverage Zeolite's successful operational model and extensive expertise to bolster future growth and enhance long-term value for the company.
