Kerry Group has divested its aroma chemicals business, Alfrebro, to Grean Technologies, focusing on strategic realignment while maximizing value through expert advisory support from Grace Matthews.
Target Information
Kerry Group, headquartered in Tralee, Ireland, is a prominent provider of ingredients and flavors for the food and beverage industry. With a diverse portfolio of over 15,000 products, the company serves clients in more than 140 countries globally. Recently, Kerry Group engaged Grace Matthews to facilitate the divestiture of its aroma chemical contract manufacturing business, known as Alfrebro. Alfrebro specializes in the development, manufacturing, and marketing of intricate aroma chemicals that find applications in various flavor and fragrance fields. It became part of Kerry Inc. following its acquisition of Cargill Flavor Systems in November 2011.
However, Kerry Group identified Alfrebro as not being a strategic fit within its Beverage Systems & Taste Solutions Division. As a result, they decided to realign their focus, prompting the decision to sell this segment of the business. This move showcases Kerry's commitment to honing in on core operations that align closely with its long-term ambitions in the food and beverage landscape.
