GEODIS has announced its acquisition of Malherbe, enhancing its position in the French road freight market and emphasizing sustainability in logistics.
Target Information
On December 19, 2025, GEODIS announced its intention to acquire Malherbe, a prominent leader in full truckload (FTL) road freight transport. This strategic acquisition is aimed at enhancing GEODIS’ capabilities in the French road freight market, specifically for full and less than full truckload operations. The integration of Malherbe will strengthen GEODIS’ foothold in key sectors such as agri-food and mass retail, allowing the Group to provide superior service to its customers by increasing the density and efficiency of its national transport network.
Founded in 1956, Malherbe operates through an extensive network consisting of 40 branch offices across France, supported by its fleet of approximately 1,500 trucks and a workforce of over 3,300 employees. The company has been proactively pursuing sustainability, investing in an energy transition program initiated in 2024 that aims to diversify its energy sources and electrify its fleet, thus contributing to the broader goal of reducing the carbon footprint in logistics operations.
