Target Information
Fraport Brasil S.A., a wholly-owned subsidiary of Fraport AG and operator of the Fortaleza airport, has been awarded the concession to manage the Jericoacoara Airport (JJD) located in the northeastern part of Brazil. Following a public bidding process in São Paulo, this acquisition is a significant expansion of Fraport's operations in Brazil. The expected start date for management of Jericoacoara Airport is fall 2026, with the concession lasting until 2047, aligning with the existing concession for Fortaleza Airport.
The concession encompasses the operation of the passenger terminal as well as land and airside infrastructure, which includes retail space and parking facilities. Fraport Brasil is also committed to investing in the modernization of Jericoacoara Airport within the first three years of operations, reflecting their dedication to improving service quality.
