Fondaction and the Fonds économie circulaire have invested in Mechasys, a Montreal-based company that has developed a groundbreaking construction technology aimed at enhancing productivity and sustainability in the sector.
Target Information
Mechasys, a Montreal-based company founded in 2018, has developed an innovative 3D projection device that displays construction plans directly onto the work site’s surfaces, including floors, walls, and ceilings. This device is compatible with Building Information Modeling (BIM) and enhances collaboration among various construction trades, improving efficiency from the foundation work through to the installation of walls and mechanical systems. The latest generation, known as FramR, has already demonstrated significant impact both in Quebec and internationally.
William St-Pierre, the co-founder and CEO of Mechasys, emphasizes the critical nature of accurate tracing in construction projects. Current methods can be time-consuming and prone to errors, leading to costly corrections and delays. With the support from Fondaction and the Fonds économie circulaire (FEC), along with funding from RECYC-QUÉBEC, Mechasys is now poised to ramp up production of its third-generation product to meet growing international demand.
