Etex, a leading global manufacturer in the building materials sector, has successfully acquired Superglass Insulation Ltd, an established producer of insulation materials in the United Kingdom. Superglass, which ranks among the top three manufacturers of glass mineral wool insulation in the UK and Ireland, operates a production facility located in Stirling, Scotland, and employs approximately 200 individuals. This strategic acquisition enables Etex to further extend its footprint in the growing market for sustainable insulation products.
Superglass specializes in glass mineral wool insulation, renowned for its thermal and acoustic efficiency, environmental benefits, and cost-effectiveness. This material is non-combustible and breathable, significantly reducing the risk of condensation, thus contributing to energy savings throughout a building's lifecycle. With this merger, Etex enhances its established sales and production network in Europe, now incorporating 11 production plants and over 1,500 employees under its Insulation division, represented by the brands Superglass and URSA.
