FVS S.G.R. S.p.A. has divested its stake in Elifriulia to the Spanish helicopter group Eliance, marking the seventh exit from its 'Fondo Sviluppo PMI' and demonstrating successful growth and market leadership in the helicopter services industry.

Information on the Target

Elifriulia was established in 1971 by Luigi Coloatto and is headquartered in Ronchi dei Legionari (GO). As Italy's oldest helicopter operator, the company specializes in a wide array of helicopter services, notably emergency medical services (HEMS) and wildfire firefighting. Additionally, Elifriulia provides flight school services, helicopter rentals, public transportation, and aerial work.

Since FVS S.G.R. S.p.A.'s investment in September 2021, Elifriulia has undergone significant operational expansion. At that time, the company operated three permanent bases (two in Friuli Venezia Giulia and one in Veneto) and had a dedicated HEMS fleet consisting of nine helicopters, employing approximately 65 personnel, including pilots, technicians, engineers, and administrative staff.

Industry Overview

The helicopter services industry in Italy, particularly within emergency medical services, has shown robust growth due to increasing demand for rapid medical intervention in remote and hard-to-reach
