Doosan Enerbility has entered into a significant contract with Petrovietnam (PVN), the largest state-owned enterprise in Vietnam, for the construction of the O Mon 4 gas-fired combined cycle power plant. Valued at approximately KRW 900 billion, the project marks a pivotal moment in the company’s expansion strategy within the Southeast Asian market. The plant will have an installed capacity of 1,155MW and is located about 180 kilometers southwest of Ho Chi Minh City. It is intended to bolster the electricity supply in Vietnam’s southwestern region, including the municipality of Can Tho.
Doosan will collaborate with its consortium partner, PECC2, a Vietnamese company recognized for its expertise in power plant construction. In this partnership, Doosan will be responsible for supplying the primary components and overseeing the construction and commissioning of the power plant, thereby reinforcing its operational capacity in Vietnam's energy sector.
