Dixon Technologies has secured approval from the Indian government to establish a joint venture (JV) with Longcheer, a prominent Chinese electronics company. This JV, to be named Dixtel Infocomm, will concentrate on the manufacturing of smartphones, tablets, and various smart devices within India. The initiative aims to bolster local production capabilities and enhance the Original Design Manufacturer (ODM) sector in the country.
On July 24, 2025, Dixon Technologies announced that it received clearance from the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MEITY) to move forward with this partnership. The JV structure will distribute ownership with a 74% stake held by Dixon Technologies and 26% by Longcheer, emphasizing a strategic collaboration aimed at expanding India's electronics manufacturing infrastructure.
