Cristal Union has acquired a minority stake in GazoTech, enhancing its commitment to sustainable agricultural practices through innovative pyro-gasification technologies.
Target Information
Cristal Union has made a strategic investment in GazoTech, a French leader in the field of pyro-gasification technologies. Founded in 2019 by Maël Disa-Vingataramin and based in Nantes, GazoTech specializes in developing and commercializing innovative processes that convert solid biomass into green energy in the form of synthesis gas (syngas) and biochar. This investment represents a minority stake for Cristal Union, allowing the company to participate in the new capital increase initiated by GazoTech.
Syngas can serve as a substitute for natural gas in industrial processes or be injected into the gas grid, while biochar offers significant environmental benefits by sequestering CO2 in the soil and serving as an excellent agricultural amendment. This transaction positions Cristal Union to explore new avenues for decarbonizing the agricultural activities of its member farmers.
