Expliseat, founded in 2011, is a pioneer in creating ultra-light aircraft seating solutions. The company has disrupted the mobility industry by developing the lightest aircraft seat in the world, significantly reducing aircraft weight and lowering CO2 emissions per passenger by up to 6%. Recently, Expliseat completed a record fundraising round, raising €36 million, marking the largest capital increase in its history.
The investment was led by Crédit Mutuel Innovation and the SPI Fund (Sociétés de Projets Industriels), under Bpifrance, as part of the France 2030 initiative, with support from Supernova Invest and Swen Capital. Historical investors BNP Paribas Développement, GO Capital, and NCI have also reaffirmed their commitment to the company, which boasts a current order book valued at approximately €50 million following the recent inauguration of its assembly plant in Angers.
