On December 18, 2025, COFIDES announced a commitment of up to 10 million euros from the Social Impact Fund (FIS) to Creas Impacto II FESE, an investment fund promoted by CREAS, a leading asset manager in impact investing in Spain. This investment positions COFIDES as a strategic investor in a vehicle designed to address global challenges such as social inequality and climate change. Creas Impacto II aims to raise a total of 70 million euros and will finance between 12 and 15 social impact companies across Spain and Europe, focusing on key areas including education, inclusive employment, and quality care for vulnerable individuals, particularly the elderly.
The fund's objectives also include fostering circular and sustainable models of production and consumption. Notably, COFIDES President and CEO, Ángela Pérez, emphasized that this operation represents a significant step in their commitment to purposeful investment and highlights the potential benefits of public-private collaboration through innovative instruments like the Social Impact Fund in tackling the critical challenges facing society today.
