The Banque des Territoires has made an investment of €18 million in GENEO Capital, an investment firm focused on supporting small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and intermediate-sized enterprises (ETIs) in France. GENEO Capital aims to finance businesses that provide positive social and economic impacts, thereby contributing to ecological and social transformations within territories. The investment seeks to strengthen the equity base of companies that develop national activities and create stable jobs, especially those engaged in impactful, long-term business practices.
Founded by Fanny Letier and François Rivolier, GENEO Capital was launched in 2019 as a vehicle for financing the development and transition of French SMEs and ETIs. As an Evergreen fund, it allows for long-term investment cycles, supporting the structural transformation of businesses with both financial and non-financial growth objectives. With a pool of €325 million from family offices and institutional investors, the fund has already financed 18 businesses across various sectors, including psychological support services and transitional management.
