Groupe Apave has acquired the carbon accounting startup Aktio to enhance its sustainability consulting services and software offerings.

With a workforce of 17,500 employees, the company generated €1.4 billion in revenue in 2024. Recently, Apave announced the acquisition of Aktio, which has been part of Asterion Ventures since late 2021.
Founded in 2020, Aktio quickly established itself as a key player in carbon accounting, serving over 500 organizations and consulting firms through a dual approach of software and advisory services. Aktio boasts a team of around 40 experts dedicated to measuring and managing greenhouse gas emissions, ensuring it plays a vital role in the sustainability space.
