On January 22, 2026, Allianz Global Investors, on behalf of Allianz insurance companies, announced the acquisition of a 20.25% minority stake in the French îles d’Yeu et Noirmoutier offshore wind farm (referred to as "EMYN") from Ocean Winds. Ocean Winds, an international company dedicated to offshore wind energy, was established through a joint venture between EDP Renewables and ENGIE. The EMYN project is currently in its final construction phase, with over two-thirds of its turbines already installed and operational, supplying renewable electricity to households in France. Full commissioning of the project is anticipated in the first quarter of 2026, following initial power generation which commenced in June 2025.
