AD Ports Group (ADPORTS:ADX) is a prominent enabler of integrated trade, transport, and logistics solutions. Recently, it signed a shareholders’ agreement with the CMA CGM Group, a leading global player in shipping and logistics. Through its subsidiary, CMA Terminals, the collaboration aims to jointly develop, manage, and operate the New East Mole multipurpose terminal located at the Port of Pointe Noire, Republic of Congo. AD Ports Group received a 30-year extendable concession for this terminal in June 2023, with plans to significantly enhance the port's operational capacity.
The New East Mole terminal will cater to various types of cargo including containers, general freight, and break-bulk material at Central West Africa's largest Atlantic port. AD Ports Group is expected to invest approximately USD 220 million (AED 807 million) to construct a 400-meter quay wall, reaching depths of 16 meters, and a logistics area spanning 10 hectares during the initial phase of the project.
