On October 17, 2023, Achernar Assets AG, through its wholly-owned subsidiary Achernar Energy S.p.A, acquired the entire share capital of ERG Power S.r.l from ERG Power Generation S.p.A, part of the ERG Group. Following the acquisition, ERG Power S.r.l will be rebranded as B2G Sicily S.r.l. and will operate under the trading name 'Brown 2 Green.'
B2G Sicily S.r.l. manages a high-efficiency Combined Cycle Gas Turbine (CCGT) power plant, which utilizes natural gas, along with a Demineralisation Plant and an Internal Electric Distribution Network at the industrial site located in Priolo Gargallo, Siracuse, Sicily. This facility plays a significant role in the local energy market, focusing on environmentally friendly power generation.
