Industry Overview in Japan
The development of carbon nanotubes (CNTs) and other carbon-based nanomaterials has been underway since the 1980s in Japan. Despite ongoing advancements, the industrial applications of these materials have generally remained limited. To unlock the full potential of CNTs, significant challenges in dispersion and composite material development need to be addressed.
Since its inception in 2009, Nano Summit has been engaged in foundational research and collaborative projects with academia, successfully developing technologies for controlling intermolecular forces, which are critical for addressing these challenges. The company has secured patents and is moving forward with comprehensive commercialization efforts.
