The Wing raises $8 million in Series A funding to expand its women-focused co-working spaces and enhance community engagement through technology.

Target Information

The Wing is an innovative all-women social, co-working, and networking club based in New York City. Established in October 2016 by co-founders Audrey Gelman and Lauren Kassan, the club originally launched in Manhattan's Ladies' Mile and quickly attracted a sizable membership base, including notable figures such as rapper Remy Ma, writer Lena Dunham, and Glossier CEO Emily Weiss. Within just a month of its opening, The Wing had amassed a waitlist of 1,300 eager women, each willing to pay between $150 and $185 per month for membership.

As of today, the membership count has grown to 3,000, demonstrating a clear demand that has outstripped the club’s physical capacity. With plans for expansion into new locations in Brooklyn, Soho, and Washington, D.C., The Wing aims to enhance its offerings and member experience significantly.
