Investible is honored to serve as the lead partner in the Trailblazer for Recycling and Clean Energy (TRaCE) Technology Commercialisation Venture Scheme, an innovative initiative established by the University of New South Wales (UNSW). This initiative is specifically designed to expedite the transition of climate-tech innovations from research laboratories to the marketplace.
As the first program of its kind in Australia, TRaCE employs a co-investment model inspired by successful frameworks previously implemented in Israel and Singapore. This initiative combines the extensive research and development capabilities of TRaCE with Investible's $32.7 million Climate Tech Fund and expertise in nurturing early-stage startups, targeting the significant funding gaps that often impede climate-tech ventures.
Industry Overview
The TRaCE program, with a total investment of $280 million, represents a collaborative effort between the Commonwealth Government, industry stakeholders, UNSW, and the University of Newcastle. Its primary objective is to accelerate the commercialization of disruptive technologies by guiding them from research and development through to de-risking, demonstration, deployment, and manufacturing.
