MediVida Oy has sold its healthcare services division to Esperi Care Oy as part of a strategic move by Bocap Private Equity to focus on its remaining business operations and capitalize on the growing demand in Finland's healthcare sector.
Overview of the Target
Bocapin’s portfolio company, MediVida Oy, has entered into an agreement to sell its healthcare services division to Esperi Care Oy. Established in 2020, MediVida Oy was created to supplement housing services for special groups across Finland. Over five years, it has evolved into a significant player in the Finnish care sector, currently providing 520 resident places across seven round-the-clock care homes and 11 service housing facilities nationwide. The revenue from its care services is expected to reach €28 million for the ongoing fiscal year.
Ville Lehtonen, the CEO of MediVida Oy, expressed a sentiment of nostalgia but confidence in the sale, stating, “We have been growing MediVida Hoiva for the past five and a half years, and we can be proud of our journey. At this moment, there is a touch of sadness, but I trust that Esperi will bring even broader shoulders to the operation.”
