Established in 2012, SMX Logistics operates with six branches across Brazil and has shown impressive growth, handling 43,000 TEUs (Twenty-foot Equivalent Units) and 2,700 tons of air cargo in 2024 alone. This acquisition represents TIBA's strategic move to strengthen its presence in Latin America and the Caribbean while entering the Brazilian market, the largest in the region.
With this acquisition, TIBA enhances its global network significantly, adding over 380,000 TEUs and 25,700 tons of air freight annually to its operations. TIBA operates a global network of 70 offices worldwide, which will now include the resources and operational capabilities of SMX Logistics.
