ReNew Energy Global Plc, a prominent developer of decarbonization solutions, is poised to make a significant investment of approximately INR 60,000 crore (around US$6.7 billion) in Andhra Pradesh, India. This investment will facilitate the establishment of an array of green energy projects, thus elevating the total investment in the region to an impressive INR 82,000 crore (US$9.3 billion). Previously, in May 2025, ReNew committed an investment of INR 22,000 crore (about US$2.5 billion) to implement one of the largest hybrid renewable energy projects in India.
The recent signing of four separate memoranda of understanding (MoUs) with the Andhra Pradesh Economic Development Board took place in the presence of key state officials, including the Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu. This collaboration is set to include the establishment of a 6 GW photovoltaic ingot-wafer plant, a 2 GW pumped hydro project, a green ammonia facility, and multiple hybrid renewable projects integrating wind-solar and battery energy storage systems.
