Perpetual Next USA Inc. has secured an agreement to develop its first U.S. production hub for sustainable biomethanol in Thomas County, Georgia, projected to displace over 400,000 tons of fossil CO₂ emissions annually.
Information on the Target
Perpetual Next USA Inc. has entered into an exclusive option agreement with Woodlands Alternative Fuels, Inc. to acquire a 29-hectare site in Thomas County, Georgia. This site is designated for Perpetual Next's inaugural U.S. production hub dedicated to sustainable biomethanol, a low-carbon fuel derived from forestry and wood-processing residues.
The facility will consist of two process blocks. The first block is a carbonization plant that will convert woody residues and organic waste into biocarbon, utilizing locally sourced materials from Georgia, Florida, and Alabama. The biocarbon produced will serve as feedstock for an adjacent plant, where it will be gasified to create syngas and further processed into biomethanol. This production site is projected to have a capacity of 220,000 tons of biomethanol annually, which would effectively eliminate over 400,000 tons of fossil CO₂ emissions from shipping and chemical sectors.
