Recently, Teal announced a total capital commitment of $125 million from two private investment firms: Pearl Energy Investments and Natural Gas Partners, each contributing $62.5 million. The company, founded in March 2016, is strategically positioned to target unconventional resource play opportunities in Texas, with an initial focus on the prolific Eagle Ford Shale region in South Texas.
Teal is led by a highly qualified management team that combines extensive technical and financial expertise. CEO John Roby possesses engineering experience from his tenure at Occidental Petroleum and has significant financial acumen from his role as chief financial officer at Titanium Exploration Partners. He is joined by President and Chief Geologist Neil Basu, who brings over a decade of geoscience expertise primarily developed at Pioneer Natural Resources, and COO John King, who has played key roles in reservoir and development engineering at Pioneer.
