North American Rail Solutions (NARS), a portfolio company of DFW Capital Partners, has successfully completed a business combination with ZA Railroad Services and its affiliated companies. This strategic alliance positions NARS as the leading provider of specialized railway infrastructure inspection, maintenance, repair, and construction services across North America, catering to industrial, short-line, Class 1, and select transit railway operators.

As a result of this business combination, ZA will operate as a dedicated business unit within NARS, specifically functioning as the Class 1 services division in the U.S. market. Zachary Ainsworth, who previously led ZA, will continue in his role as President & Chief Operating Officer and maintain a significant individual shareholding in NARS as part of the transaction.
