Grupo Fictor has announced its acquisition of Banco Master in partnership with UAE investors, aiming to strengthen its presence in Brazil's banking sector with a substantial capital injection.
Target Information
Grupo Fictor recently announced its acquisition of Banco Master, a significant move that underscores its intent to expand into the banking sector. The transaction will take place alongside a consortium of investors from the United Arab Emirates, who collectively manage over $100 billion in assets. The initial phase of the deal includes an immediate capital injection of R$ 3 billion to strengthen the bank's financial position. However, the transaction is contingent upon the approval of Brazil's Central Bank and the Administrative Council for Economic Defense (Cade).
It is important to note that this acquisition does not encompass Willbank or Banco Master de Investimentos, which will be handled through separate negotiations. The submission to the Central Bank outlines substantial changes to the bank's structure, including a complete overhaul of its statutory board, the establishment of a new advisory council, and a renaming of the bank to Banco Fictor.
