Tiny Monster, a Berlin-based startup founded in 2023 by Frank Ließner and Timo Dries, originated from the children's app ecosystem of Fox & Sheep. The company is evolving into a hardware manufacturer with its flagship product, GALAKTO, an audio system designed specifically for children. Following a successful seed financing round that raised over 4 million euros, with investors including bm|t (Beteiligungsmanagement Thüringen), Reziprok, and experienced industry angels, Tiny Monster aims to expand its production, content catalog, and distribution channels.

GALAKTO enables children to easily enjoy audio stories without complex setups and, importantly, it operates offline, eliminating the need for an internet connection. The audio play content is seamlessly activated by inserting a magnetic token, allowing for immediate playback. GALAKTO also serves as a portable audio player, utilizing a Twist'n'Go system that makes it easy for children to take the device on trips, simply by attaching headphones and off they go. Co-founder Timo Dries emphasizes the product's purpose: 'Parents want stories, not upselling. Children need a reliable audio player, not another screen. GALAKTO is the cassette recorder for the next generation.'
