Agro Care Growers has acquired a majority stake in Danish producer Nordic Greens, enhancing its presence in the Scandinavian market for greenhouse vegetables.
Target Information
Agro Care Growers has successfully acquired a majority stake in Nordic Greens, a prominent producer of greenhouse vegetables based in Denmark. Established in 1948, Nordic Greens is a family-owned company that specializes in the cultivation of tomatoes, peppers, and cucumbers across two locations: near Odense, Denmark, and Trelleborg, Sweden. Mads Pedersen, the current owner and CEO, will retain a minority stake in the company and remain actively involved in its operations. However, it is important to note that this acquisition excludes the lettuce segment under Nordic Greens Salat and certain parts of the Danish cucumber cultivation.
The acquisition is currently awaiting approval from competition authorities, but it marks a strategic move for Agro Care to solidify its presence within the Scandinavian market. By partnering with Nordic Greens, Agro Care seeks to enhance its supply chain and distribution network for greenhouse products in this region.
